Average Length of Stay
Key Data's Average Length of Stay KPI measures the average length of guest stays for a given period. Remember, reservations are attributed to a period if the Guest Check-In occurs during the period (ex: a reservation from 2/15 - 3/15 will not be counted when pulling Average Length of Stay for March).
The Average Length of Stay is an important KPI to consider when making company decisions; it can be helpful in determining staffing or adjusting length of stay restrictions for a week or season. Use this KPI to create profiles of customers by season for target segmentation, marketing, sales promotion packages, etc.
Key Data Calculation: Average Length of Stay = Guest Nights / Guest Checkins
